Volunteering

Get Involved

There are many opportunities for volunteering with the Society. We currently have volunteers who help with the Victorian garden at Abergavenny Museum and others who keep an eye on and clean the ceramic plaques around town. Another volunteer looks after all the publications we have for sale and mans the book stall at lectures. We have a very active group of volunteers involved in research and the editing and production of our various publications and archiving important Society documents. Other volunteers currently assist with the smooth running of our lectures and membership administration. The Society always needs volunteers to help in a variety of roles in addition to the ones listed below. There are behind-the-scenes activities where help would be appreciated., Explore our website for more information about current projects or contact us at alhs@live.co.uk and let us know where your particular interests and skills lie.
